Whether you are looking to build a trophy fishing pond, beautify your landscape, or looking to add water storage for irrigation or livestock usage, Wildcat can help. We offer a complete design build package that incorporates your vision into reality.

Wildcat begins our pond construction process with an onsite visit with our clients to discuss their overall vision. From that point, we move into the conceptual phase in which we develop a design utilizing the general topography to layout the pond and fit the shoreline shape into the existing landscape. This allows us to collaborate with our clients and give them the opportunity to make changes to meet their overall vision. Once the conceptual design has been agreed upon, Wildcat will move into survey, final design and secure any necessary permitting/water acquisition associated with the project. From that point we mobilize equipment to start the build process.

The installation of an efficient aeration system is one of the most important steps that can be taken to help improve overall lake health and prevent most water quality issues.

Whether it is an electrical system where power is available, or a remote solar system, Wildcat can design and install an aeration package that is specific to your unique pond or lake.

Aeration in a lake or pond plays a crucial role in mitigating water quality issues. During seasonal transitions, a water body can become stratified in which the water column becomes thermally layered which can create low oxygen concentrations at lower water depths. Aeration will help to provide the necessary mixing to prevent this thermal layering and ensure uniform water temperatures and oxygen content through the water column.

As aeration also provides mixing, it also helps to oxygenate the water as well. This will help to ensure a healthy fish population, but will also provide oxygen to beneficial bacteria that helps breakdown unwanted organic material that can lead to an unhealthy amount of aquatic vegetation and algae.

Having the knowledge of your ponds surface acreage and volume is a useful tool to make sound recommendations for pond management and fish stocking strategies. Also, knowing the bathymetry of your lake or pond can be beneficial to locate valuable fish habitat or lack thereof.

Wildcat has state of the art sonar equipment that is utilized in conjunction with GPS technology to obtain coordinates around the surface area of your pond and connect those to depths underneath the waters surface. This allows us to give you a representation of the bottom profile of your pond to identify fish habitat, pond slopes, maximum depth and water volume. This information is also valuable to determine locations for installation of an aeration system and make calculations for aquatic vegetation and algae treatments.
